Love bird watching? This place will not disappoint you. This sanctuary is seated next to Sundarban tiger reserve and goes by its local name “SajnekhaliAbhayaranya”. Colourful species of kingfishers, plovers, egrets, sandpipers, sea eagles, herons and many more truly make the place a paradise for ornithologists and amateur bird enthusiasts.
Jharkhali
Due to its vantage location, Jharkhali is an excellent spot to explore the largest mangrove forest of the world. The dense forest is marvellous and mysterious. There are bungalows and hotels of the forest department but adventure-seekers spend on the boat to experience nocturnal thrills.
Burirdabri Forest Camp

Dobanki
Tourists visit the place in a large number with high expectations of tiger sightings. Royal Bengal Tigers often come near the Dobanki watchtower. Tourists also enjoy a half kilometre-long canopy walkand a splendid view of the tiger reserve forest.

Haliday Island
Quietly seated on the river Matla, this wildlife sanctuary has a wide variety of flora and fauna. You can see many barking deer, wild pigs, chitals and rhesus monkeys roaming here and there. Tigers also have a strong presence. Various marine species thrive in the sweet water of Matla.
Lothian Island
The swamp forest of the island covers a large area of dense mangrove vegetation. Through the walkaround, you will find grassy patches along the banks of the river. Crocodiles and wild cats are easily found.Chital, wild pigs, rhesus monkeys and varieties of colourful birds inhabit the place.

Sudhanyakhali Watch Tower
This watchtower is the most popular of all watchtowers in Sundarban. Most of the Royal Bengal Tigers are sighted from this tower. You will also get to see a few colourful birds. Many wild animals are spotted drinking water from a nearby sweet pond.
Jhingekhali Watchtower
